However, when the sea water is consumed in a wrong way its becomes the major cause of most shocking health problems like migraine, lethargy, joint problems, weak digestion, skin problems, heart and kidney problems. But the sad part is that most of the people are drinking water in a wrong way. By doing this they are doing more harm to their body than getting the benefits of drinking water.

I recommend one should slowly sip the water.

Do you, after coming back from office or from playing, run to the refrigerator to grab a bottle of chilled water, to quench your thirst. If yes then you should stop doing that. Drinking Chilled water not only causes a sore throat but it can also lead to serious problems.
Drinking Cold Water shrinks the blood vessels, seriously restricting the digestive process. cold water also tends to solidify the fats in the food making it hard for your digestive system to break down the unwanted fats.
Another major side effect of drinking Cold water is joint pain.
Not only this, there are many studies proving that chilled water decreases the heart rate. I recommend that you should drink water at room temperature. Luke warm water is even better. Although if still you want to drink cold water then start using earthen pots. Not only they are natural water cooler but they also balance the PH of water, by removing the impurities.

I have come across people who forcibly drink water throughout the day even when they're not thirsty. It is because somebody had told them that more water means more benefits. Of course proper hydration is required. But excess of anything is bad. And this is true in the case of water also. Drinking water in excess makes the salts and electrolytes in our body highly dilute. And one of the jobs of sodium is to balance the fluids in and around your cells. Drinking too much of water causes an imbalance, as a result fluids move from blood into your cells, making the cells Swell and in the case of brain cells it is a seriously bad news.

How to drink water standing or sitting :

Another side effect of fast paced life is that people drink water not only while standing but sometimes also while running. When we drink water in standing position our kidneys are not able to filter the water properly.
Moreover, in this position your muscles and nervous system is not relaxed and it may make difficult for your nerves to quickly digest the fluid. This may disturbed balance of fluids in the body leading to greater accumulation of fluids in the joints resulting in arthritis.
So it is best to sit down and sip water slowly.
